THANKSGIVING BREAK The LHSD is thankful for our wonderful students, staff, parents, and community members! All LHSD buildings and offices will be closed November 22 - 26 for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume for students and staff on Monday, November 29. #LHWolfNation

LHJH | INTERVENTION CLASS COMPETITION Lake Hamilton Junior High students in Dudley Webb's intervention classes recently applied the five senses to their reading to heighten text-to-self connections and enhance comprehension. Each class was in competition through bell-ringer quizzes. The winning class created a recipe for trail mix and constructed an essay to detail how a reader might experience the five senses when reading their recipe. #LHWolfNation

LHHS | ART BEST OF SHOW Lake Hamilton High School art student, Maddox Porter, recently received Best of Show at the Garland County Fair and the Arkansas State Fair. Congratulations! #LHWolfNation

VETERANS DAY DISPLAY Lake Hamilton High School National Honor's Society students created storyboards for each Veteran on the high school campus last week. After the students interviewed each Veteran, the photography class took their photo. The storyboards were displayed in front of the counselor's offices. The display will remain in the lobby during the month of November. #LHWolfNation

SUPERINTENDENT'S COUNCIL MEETING The Superintendent's Student Advisory Council met yesterday for their second meeting of the year. During the first meeting, students shared what they loved about Lake Hamilton and some things they would like to improve at Lake Hamilton. Students worked on solutions yesterday to some of their improvement requests that consisted of student mental health, student and teacher communication, dress code, and more. SSAC members provide the administrative staff with valuable insight as the district works to ensure a positive student experience for all. #LHWolfNation

STATE FOOTBALL & STATE DANCE TICKETS Lake Hamilton will host West Memphis tonight at Wolf Stadium for the first round of the AAA State Playoffs. Lake Hamilton will host all of the high school dance teams in Arkansas on Saturday in Wolf Arena for the AAA State Dance Championships. School passes will not be accepted since these are AAA events. Only AAA passes will be accepted. AAA does not permit cash sales at the door. HOLIDAY CARDS FOR MILITARY MEMBERS The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education recently invited schools to participate in the "Holiday Cards 4 Our Military" Challenge (HCMC). The goal of the HCMC is to provide holiday cards for as many active duty military service members as possible. Lake Hamilton students enjoyed creating holiday cards for our military members! #LHWolfNation

STATE CHAMPIONS ​The Lake Hamilton High School boys cross country team captured the 5A Arkansas State Championship on Friday, November 5. This is the second consecutive state title for the boy's cross country team. The girls finished 3rd in the 5A classification. LHHS | STEP WITH THE CITY Lake Hamilton High School STEP (students transitioning to employment program) students started their new jobs with the City of Hot Springs this week. Students worked to put up Christmas lights in Arlington Park. #LHWolfNation

PBS INTERVIEW Lake Hamilton High School senior defensive tackle, Dylan Williams, was interviewed by Arkansas PBS yesterday. The interview will air during the AAA State Football Championship games that will take place in December. #LHWolfNation
