Facilitate small group and one-on-one instruction with students needing assistance in developing and improving essential literacy skills. Appropriate licensure is required. Experience using research-based reading strategies and using prescribed interventions are preferred. LHHS | PLANT SALE The LHHS Greenhouse & Construction Technology class will be holding a plant sale for LHSD employees (April 16) and the community (April 17). The sale will be located in the LHHS greenhouse (behind the high school, next to the tennis courts). All proceeds will support the class and their future projects. #LHWolfNation

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION | MAY 3 Calling all future Lake Hamilton Wolves that will be five (5) years old on or before August 1, 2021! Kindergarten registration opens online Monday, May 3, for the 2021-22 school year at Lake Hamilton Primary School. To prepare for kindergarten registration, gather the required documents (listed below). Documents will need to be scanned and saved to your computer in order to upload them into the application OR you may take photos of the documents with your phone for upload (please make sure photos are of good quality). For those unable to upload when registering, documents may be brought to the primary school office or emailed to k.reg@lhwolves.net Required Documents: 1. Proof of Residency in the Lake Hamilton School District (Current utility bill in parent/guardian's name or a note attached from account holder's name stating student(s) and his/her guardian live at said address) 2. Child's Official Birth Certificate (or hospital proof of birth) 3. Kindergarten Physical (similar to an athletic physical; not a well-child check). 4. Child's Current Immunization Record *Please note: those unable to upload all required documents will not be considered registered until they are submitted to the school. Students will not be assigned a teacher until all documents are submitted to the school. **Current Lake Hamilton Pre-K students will not need to complete the online registration. Lake Hamilton Pre-K teachers have shared information with each student on kindergarten registration. If you have a current Lake Hamilton Pre-K student and have not received this information, please contact your teacher.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FINALIST Congratulations to the Lake Hamilton High School Winter Winds for being named a finalist in the Winter Guard International World Championships this past week! The group is currently competing in the WGI Virtual Season in Open Class and are a 2018 WGI A Class World Champion and a 2019 Open Class Silver Medalist. WGI Virtual Finals begin April 19th. The next opportunity to see the Lake Hamilton Indoor Winds will be this Saturday at the Arkansas Marching Arts Association contest in Greenwood, Arkansas. #LHWolfNation

MARCH CUB CLUB & ALPHA PACK Lake Hamilton Primary School has announced the kindergarten and first-grade students selected to the cub club (kindergarten) and alpha pack (first grade) for the month of March. LHHS | TECH FOR GOOD Three Lake Hamilton High School computer science students recently competed in the Girls of Promise Tech for Good competition sponsored by The Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and AT&T. Girls around the state in grades 6-12 were invited to develop an app, website, computer program, 3D printer template, or anything else “tech” that they’re inspired to create. Tech for Good allows girls to use their tech skills to make something that helps others! This year, Tech for Good partnered with Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance to educate girls on hunger in our state. The technology project must either assist communities, leaders, and/or non-profits to better address issues of hunger within the state of Arkansas. The teams were tasked with learning about food security issues in our state and then develop a solution via technology. Lake Hamilton had all five state finalists that were invited to compete in the 2021 Tech for Good (two from the junior high and three from the high school). High school finalists were Colleen Miller, Abby Chuang, and Taylor Alred. The culmination of the Tech for Good competition was held April 1, 2021, where the finalists presented their technology virtually to 8th grade girls throughout the state attending the Girls of Promise Virtual Conference. After the presentations, the 8th grade girls voted for their favorite solution to hunger in our state. All finalists received a prize box with technology related items. #LHWolfNation
