PREPARING FOR CHESS TOURNAMENT Lake Hamilton Intermediate School 5th-grade students in A.C.E. have been sharpening their chess skills this week in preparation for an upcoming chess tournament. #LHWolfNation

SCIENCE LAB SAFETY Lake Hamilton Junior High 9th grade physical science students recently completed their unit on lab safety. The students placed drops of hydrochloric acid on an egg to demonstrate the importance of eye safety when participating in lab activities. #LHWolfNation

CLASS OF 2021 SPORTS HALL OF FAME Congratulations to the following individuals for being inducted into the Lake Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame: Meredith Heckel Larue, Ethan Turpen, Matt Wait, Jessica Weatherford, and John Welch. The induction was held on Friday, August 27, 2021, during the pre-game of the Lake Hamilton and Lakeside football game. Current Hall of Fame members Jamie Bridges, Karl Koonce, Stephanie Foreman, Dixie Land French, and Tiffany Wait McCain were on hand to present the plaques on field to the 2021 recipients. CROSS COUNTRY PRE-SEASON RANKINGS The pre-season rankings are out for cross country! The Lake Hamilton High School boys made the top 100 rankings for returning boys teams to watch for cross country nationally in 2021. The boys are ranked 94 in the United States our of all senior high boys teams combined for their returning top 5 runners. The boys are also ranked #1 in 5A and #1 overall (in all classifications) combined for returning runners in the pre-season Arkansas boys cross country rankings. The senior girls are currently ranked #5 in 5A Arkansas, but very close to the #1 spot! Have a great season, Running Wolves! #LHWolfNation

COVID-19 VACCINE OPPORTUNITY Are you attending the big game on Friday? Have you been trying to find a time and place to receive the COVID-19 vaccine? Lake Hamilton and Lakeside have teamed up to provide a convenient vaccination opportunity for you! The Arkansas Department of Health / Garland County Health Unit will be onsite Friday night offering COVID-19 vaccines during the game. Arkansans ages 12 or older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. There is no out-of-pocket expense for the vaccine. For those that do not have insurance, the vaccine will be available at no charge. #LHWolfNation

MATH BUILDING Lake Hamilton High School students in Jerry Martens math classes recently held a a contest on who could design and construct the largest tower. CALL FOR REGISTRATION | 9.11.01 PARADE This year marks the 20th anniversary of 9.11.01. The Lake Hamilton School District will remember and honor the 20th anniversary with a Remembrance Parade through campus on Friday, September 10, at 1:30 p.m. The LHSD would like to invite all area first responders, medical professionals, and past/present military members to participate in the parade. LHES | THE MAGICAL YET Lake Hamilton Elementary School 2nd grade students in Lisa Deleon's class recently read the book: The Magical Yet. After reading the book, the class discussed things they couldn't do "yet" but wanted to be able to do by the end of the year. The students went outside to make their magical "yet" wish.
