LHMS | TYPES OF GOVERNMENT
Lake Hamilton Middle School students in Theresa House's social studies classes are learning about different types of government. Today, students were broken into groups, with each group representing a different type of government: democracy, monarchy, dictatorship, theocracy, and anarchy. While following directions dependent on the type of government, students worked to build a tower. #LHWolfNation

FARM TO SCHOOL MONTH
October is National Farm to School Month. To celebrate, Lake Hamilton Child Nutrition recently purchased local watermelons and peaches from Hunt Farms. Students loved having the fresh, local fruit! #LHWolfNation

LHMS | STUDENT COUNCIL
Congratulations to the 6th and 7th grade students that have been selected to serve on the student council for the 2021-22 school year. All students at the middle school had the opportunity to run for the council by completing an essay explaining why they wanted to be on the council and collecting signatures from teachers, counselors, and principals. Once all requirements were met, names were placed on a ballot and the entire middle school student body voted and elected peers to represent their grade.

The Lake Hamilton High School and Hot Springs High School volleyball teams recently teamed up to wear purple ribbons for cystic fibrosis during their game. Naomi Smith, an LHHS volleyball player, is an Arkansas teen advocate for cystic fibrosis. #LHWolfNation

Lake Hamilton High School STEP (Students Transitioning To Employment Program) students recently enjoyed visiting the Arkansas Career Development Center. During their visit, students had the opportunity to experience hands on activities in carpentry, welding, and culinary classes. #LHWolfNation

The Lake Hamilton High School cross country teams traveled to Conway last weekend to compete in the Wampus Cat Invitational. Congratulations to the teams on the following finishes:
Senior Girls: 1st Place.
Senior Boys: 1st Place.
Junior Girls: 4th Place.
Junior Boys: 6th Place.
Big congratulations to Olivia Pielemeier for taking 1st in the girls race in 18:21.4 which broke her previous school record by 21 seconds!

A group of Lake Hamilton Junior High students in Ashley Kincannon's computer science classes recently learned how to create products using the vinyl machine during Wolf Time for computer science enrichment. The students designed a rose, printed the design, and then learned how to weed and transfer the design. #LHWolfNation
