The Lake Hamilton School District is now hiring bus drivers for the 2021-22 school year. A driver must be (𝟮𝟭) 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆-𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿, have a 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱, be able to 𝗼𝗯𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲, provide a 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙜 𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣, and 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 that is required by the Arkansas Department of Education once every (2) two years. A driver must 𝙤𝙗𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 "𝘽" 𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚 with Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus Endorsements.

SOCIAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CAMP
Stacy Dalton, Stacy Lynch, and Rebecca Kincannon recently held a social skills development camp on campus. During the camp, students worked on skills such as turn-taking, conversational exchange, and responding appropriately in social situations. As a culminating activity, the students enjoyed a trip to Mid America Science Museum to practice their skills in a real-world environment. #LHWolfNation

ESOL INSTITUTE
Lake Hamilton is well represented at the ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) Institute this summer! The ESOL Institute is a high-quality educator training program for Arkansas licensed educators leading to their eligibility to apply for an Arkansas ESL Endorsement. The Institute features nationally recognized TESOL scholars and teachers.
Teachers were chosen for the program based on their qualifications, the need for endorsed teachers in their subject or grade level, and the number of English learners in the district.

Ashley Kincannon, Lake Hamilton Junior High Computer Science Teacher, recently spoke during the Arkansas Education Association Summer Leader's Conference. She spoke to the group during the opening lunch about her background in becoming an educator. #LHWolfNation

RUNNING LANE TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS
Zeke McCain, Evan Armitage, and Olivia Pielemieier represented the Lake Hamilton High School Track & Field team at the Running Lane Track Championships held in Madison, Alabama on June 11-12.
Zeke McCain and Evan Armitage competed Friday night in the 3200m run with McCain clocking 9:49.93 and Armitage 9:55.14 in a very competitive field in their heat of the 3200m run. Saturday night’s racing saw McCain come back in the actual Mile distance (not 1600m) and clock a 4:28.48 in his competitive heat of the boys mile race which converts to a 4:26.92 personal best in the 1600m run. In the girls actual Mile distance, Pielemeier ran a 5:07.64, which converts to a 5:05.86 in the 1600m, lowering her school record that she set earlier this spring at the Lake Hamilton Invitational by over 2 seconds. The 1600m run is the standard race distance in Arkansas closest to the actual mile which is slightly longer than the 1600m run.
These three athletes will be back in the fall leading the Lake Hamilton Cross Country teams! #LHWolfNation
