BOARD MEETING | 9.20.21 The Lake Hamilton School District Board of Education will meet on Monday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lake Hamilton Administration and School Board Complex (205 Wolf Street, Pearcy, AR). In the event the LHSD board room reaches capacity, overflow patrons may view the board meeting via live-stream inside the high school media center. Please note: the public is always invited to attend board meetings, but the meetings do not provide the opportunity for public comment, other than those that have submitted official requests. LHSD Board Meetings are conducted in a limited forum, in accordance with LHSD Board Policy (Section 1.14, https://lhsd.info/Board-Policy). CROSS COUNTRY BEGINS SEASON The Lake Hamilton Cross Country teams officially began their 2021 season this past Saturday at the Bob Gravett Invitational on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University. The senior girls, #5 in class 5A rankings, tied Lakeside, currently #1 in class 5A rankings, with 33 points, but finished second with Lakeside's 6th runner coming in front of Lake Hamilton 6th runner in a tie-breaker. The senior girls finished the day with a 4 - 1 record. The senior boys, #1 in class 5A rankings, won 1st place in the race with a low score of 25 points over 2nd place Lakeside, with 43. The senior boys finished the day with a 11-0 record and a new school record team average of 16:21.52. The junior girls took a dominating win in the 2800 meter course team race with a team low score of 18 points over 2nd place El Dorado with 74 points. The junior boys took 2nd place in the 2800 meter team race with a score of 79 points, finishing behind Benton that scored 68 points. Top 5 finishers for the teams are listed below. The Garland County Sheriffs Department and school security team are on-site and are in the process of removing the threat.
