LOCKDOWN DRILL
The Lake Hamilton School District conducted a scheduled lockdown drill at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
This drill is required annually and is used to evaluate our districtโs preparedness to respond to a threat to the safety of our students, staff, and visitors.

AMI DAY | FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2022
Due to inclement weather, the Lake Hamilton School District will not hold onsite instruction and will utilize an AMI day on Friday, February 4, 2022.
AMI days are approved by the Arkansas Department of Education and count as instructional days. All students are required to complete assignments through their learning management systems: SeeSaw (grades K - 5) and Canvas (grades 6 - 12) in order to be counted present for the AMI day on Friday.
The LHSD understands some students may be without access to internet and/or electricity. As listed in the AMI plan approved by the Arkansas Department of Education, Lake Hamilton students have up to five (5) days following the return to onsite instruction to submit assignments.

STUDENT SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM APPLICATIONS
Applications are now being accepted for the student social media team for current 8 - 12th-grade students {https://lhsd.info/Social-Media-Team-App}.
Student social media team members will work directly with the LHSD Director of Communications to produce photos and content for publication on school social media pages. Interested students should submit their application on or before Friday, January 14, 2022. Email brian.bridges@lhwolves.net with questions or for more information.

THANKSGIVING BREAK
The LHSD is thankful for our wonderful students, staff, parents, and community members!
All LHSD buildings and offices will be closed November 22 - 26 for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume for students and staff on Monday, November 29.

LHJH | INTERVENTION CLASS COMPETITION
Lake Hamilton Junior High students in Dudley Webb's intervention classes recently applied the five senses to their reading to heighten text-to-self connections and enhance comprehension. Each class was in competition through bell-ringer quizzes. The winning class created a recipe for trail mix and constructed an essay to detail how a reader might experience the five senses when reading their recipe. #LHWolfNation
