Free ACT Test for Juniors

The ACT® is a national college admissions examination recognized by universities and colleges in the US. The State of Arkansas provides one opportunity for all Arkansas High School Juniors to test at their respective high school each spring.  On the morning of Tuesday, March 9, LHHS Juniors will be taking this free ACT Test in their Advisory classes on the Lake Hamilton High School campus. ACT testing will begin at 8 am and should conclude for most students by 12:30 pm.

The ACT is the nation’s most-taken college entrance exam and it is accepted for admission to all colleges and universities in the United States. ACT test questions are directly related to what students learn in most of their high school core courses. Why Take the ACT

The LHHS plan for March 9 follows:

  • 11th graders will be on campus taking the ACT Test in the morning in their Advisory classes and in regularly scheduled classes in the afternoon.

  • Following the ACT Test, Juniors will attend their normal on-site classes.

  • 10th and 12th-grade students will pivot to off-campus for a digital learning day. Assignments will be posted in Canvas.

  • 10th and 12th-grade students who choose to be on campus will be assigned to the Wolf Den to complete assignments that have been posted in Canvas.

  • 12th-grade students are encouraged to participate in their classes at National Park Technology Center.

  • 12th-grade students who participate in classes at National Park Technology Center and ride LHSD transportation to NPTC will be able to access transportation on the normal schedule.  Students who ride a bus to school to attend NPTC and then return to LHHS and ride a bus home may remain on campus and connect to their classes while in the Wolf Den.
