At Lake Hamilton School District, every student deserves to feel safe, respected, supported, and like they belong. That’s why our Pack unites against bullying.
Bullying is a serious concern that can affect students in public schools, private schools, and even students who are home-educated. With social media, texting, and other forms of digital communication, inappropriate and hurtful behavior can also extend well beyond the school day.
While not every disagreement, conflict, or hurtful interaction meets the definition of bullying, any inappropriate behavior toward another student is a concern and should be reported.
How to Report a Concern
Lake Hamilton provides three ways for students, parents, and guardians to formally report bullying or inappropriate behavior:
See Something, Say Something Tip Line — Submit a concern electronically through the district’s tip line.
Online Bullying Report Form — Complete and submit the district’s online bullying report form.
Paper Bullying Report Form — Pick up and complete a paper copy available in any Lake Hamilton school front office.
Students and families may also contact their child’s school office or the Lake Hamilton School District Administration Office for assistance with reporting a concern or questions about next steps.
Every Report Is Taken Seriously
When a concern is reported, Lake Hamilton takes it seriously. Reports are reviewed, incidents are investigated, and appropriate action is taken.
Due to student privacy requirements, school officials may not always be able to share specific information regarding consequences or disciplinary action involving another student. However, the inability to share those details does not mean a report was ignored or that action was not taken.
Creating safe and welcoming schools is a shared responsibility. Our schools work to teach expectations, address inappropriate behavior, and hold students accountable. Parents and guardians are essential partners in reinforcing respectful behavior and communicating concerns, while students play an important role by speaking up, looking out for one another, and asking a trusted adult for help.
