Lake Hamilton High School Head Football Coach Tommy Gilleran has announced his decision to transition from his current role as head coach.
A 1988 graduate of Lake Hamilton High School, Gilleran returned to lead his alma mater’s football program in 2017. During his tenure, the Wolves earned multiple postseason appearances, produced numerous collegiate-level athletes, and reached the 2020 Arkansas State Championship game, finishing as state runner-up. In recognition of his leadership, Gilleran was honored with the 2019 National Gatorade Coach of the Year Award.
Before coming home to Lake Hamilton, Gilleran was named the 2008 FCA Huddle Leader of the Year and served as head coach of the 2009 Fountain Lake State Championship Football Team.
While he is transitioning out of the head coaching position, Coach Gilleran will continue his employment with the Lake Hamilton School District, where his experience, leadership, and student-first mindset will remain an asset to the Wolf Pack community.
Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman expressed his gratitude for Gilleran’s service:
“Coach Gilleran has led our program with pride, heart, and a deep love for Lake Hamilton. His influence goes far beyond Friday nights; he has poured into student-athletes as leaders and young adults. We are grateful for his years of service as head coach and excited that he will continue contributing to our district in meaningful ways.”
