LHHS Girls Track & Field | 5A Outdoor State Runner Up

The Lake Hamilton High School girl's track and field team earned the 5A State Runner-Up trophy during the 5A State Track & Field Championship held at Lake Hamilton Wolf Stadium on Thursday, May 4.  El Dorado finished in 1st with 100 points with the Lady Wolves close behind at 94.5 points.  Vilonia was third with 59.75 points.  The boy's team finished in 22nd place out of 29 teams.  See below for full results: 

In the Girls Triple Jump, Sophomore Maggie Dampier finished 13th place with a best jump of 34-1. Also in the Triple Jump, Freshman Hayley Ferguson finished 15th place with a best jump of 32-7.

In the Girls Pole Vault, Junior Reagan Carrouth finished 7th place for 2pts. with a best vault of 9-6. Also in the Pole Vault, Junior Sheyla Praetzel finished 8th place for 1 pt. with a best vault of 9-6. Freshman Reese Lackey finished 11th place with a best vault of 8-6.

In the Girls 4x800m relay, team of Lani Inman, Audrey Herrell, Blair Turpen, and Olivia Pielemeier finished 1st place to earn 10 pts. and All-State honors with a season best time of 9:47.64.

In the Girls 100m hurdles, Freshman Mikaela Miller finished 2nd place to earn 8 pts. and All-State honors with a PR of 15.44.

In the Girls 4x200m relay, the team of Maggie Dampier (Sophomore), Hayley Ferguson (Freshman), Rylee Burns (Freshman), and Mikaela Miller (Freshman) finished 3rd place earning 6 pts. and also setting the L.H. school record in the event with a time of 1:45.24.

In the Girls 1600m run, Senior Olivia Pielemeier finished 1st place earning 10 pts. and All-State honors with a 5:15.34, Senior Blair Turpen was 3rd place earning 6 pts. in 5:25.60, Sophomore Audrey Herrell was 4th place earning 5 pts. in 5:30.65, Sophomore Lani Inman 7th place earning 2 pts. in 5:37.37 and Freshman Taylor Mitchell 9th place in 5:41.19.

In the Girls 300m hurdles, Freshman Mikaela Miller was 7th place earning 2 pts. with a PR of 49.11. Sophomore Za’niya Knotts was 9th place with a PR of 49.88.

In the Girls 800m run, Senior Olivia Pielemeier finished 1st place earning 10 pts. and All-State honors with a PR time in the open 800m of 2:15.11. Olivia’s time also broke the previous 5A State meet record of Melanie Gibson from Alma that was set back in 1978. Senior Blair Turpen finished 7th place earning 2 pts. with a time of 2:31.47 and Senior Mackenzie Cronin was 9th place with a PR time of 2:33.57.

In the Girls 3200m run, Senior Olivia Pielemeier finished 1st place earning 10 pts. and All-State honors with a time of 11:49.07. Senior Blair Turpen finished 2nd earning 8 pts. in 12:03.77 and All-State honors, Sophomore Lani Inman was 3rd earning 6 pts. in 12:11.95 and Sophomore Audrey Herrell was 7th place earning 2 pts. in 12:25.22

In the Girls 4x400m relay, the team of Braylee Winfrey (Freshman), Sarah Humphries (Junior), Rylee Burns (Freshman), and Maggie Dampier (Sophomore) finished 4th place earning 5 pts. The relay team ran the fastest time of the season with a 4:13.65.

In the Boys Shot Put, Senior Connor Goff finished 5th place with a best throw of 46-8.50 to earn 4 pts. for the boys team.

In the Boys Discus, Junior Cooper Kindt finished 14th place with a best throw of 100-11.

In the Boys Pole Vault, Sophomore Luke Irwin finished 7th place with a best vault of 13-0 to set a new PR and earn 2 pt. for the boys team. Also in the Boys Pole Vault, Freshman Noah Stack tied for 10th place with a best vault of 12-6.

In the Boys 4x800m relay, the team of Chaise Mann, Chay Menzies, Cade Martin, and Nathan Miller finished 8th place earning 1pt. with a season best time of 8:24.86 bettering their previous best of 8:37.25 which each relay member running a personal best for a relay time.

Sophomore Chay Menzies 2:06.5 (previous best this season in any 800m was 2:11.71 in open 800m)

Senior Cade Martin 2:07.5 (previous best this season in any 800m was 2:09 on relay)

Senior Nathan Miller 2:02.5 (previous best in any 800m was 2:08.22 FAT in open 800m)

In the Boys 110m hurdles, Sophomore Kadyn Coffman finished 11th place with a time of 16.72.

In the Boys 100m dash, Junior Brayden Burris finished 13th place with a time of 11.31.

In the Boys 1600m run Senior Nathan Miller finished 9th place with a season best time of 4:35.44.

In the Boys 800m run Senior Nathan Miller finished 14th place with a PR of 2:04.47.

In the Boys 200m run Junior Brayden Burris finished 21st place with a time of 25.71.

In the Boys 3200m run Senior Cade Martin finished 10th place with a PR of 10:10.20
