Homecoming will be Friday, November 6, 2020.  The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) released homecoming guidelines this year due to COVID-19.  Many of the traditional homecoming activities at Lake Hamilton have been modified to comply with the guidelines set forth by DESE.  In accordance with the guidelines issued by DESE, Lake Hamilton will not have a homecoming parade or homecoming dance this year.  Homecoming details and information can be found below:

Afternoon Ceremony:

Lake Hamilton Homecoming Maids and Escorts will be presented in Lake Hamilton Wolf Stadium at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020.

  • Each maid and escort will receive two (2) VIP attendance tickets for family seating.
  • Maids and escorts will be socially distanced throughout the ceremony.
  • 10th grade students will sit socially distanced in the visitor bleachers.
  • 11th and 12th grade students will sit socially distanced in the home bleachers.
  • Only LHHS students and the ticketed attendees will be permitted inside the stadium during the afternoon ceremony.
  • The afternoon ceremony will be available for free via live-stream on Lake Hamilton Live.
  • If inclement weather, the afternoon ceremony will be moved inside to Lake Hamilton Wolf Arena.  If moved inside, only the two ticketed family members will be permitted inside the arena for the ceremony.  All students would watch the live-stream from their classrooms.

Evening Ceremony:

Lake Hamilton Homecoming Maids will be presented on the track in front of the home bleachers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020.

  • Maids will not be escorted during the evening ceremony.  Maids will walk through the wolf tunnel and then to a designated spot on the track when introduced by the public address announcer.
  • After all maids have been presented, the public address announcer will announce the homecoming queen.
  • Following the crowning of the queen, all maids must exit the track to the reserved maid seating area in the bleachers.  Maids are asked to remain in the reserved seating area for the 1st quarter of the game.
  • All maids will receive a special ticket link where their family may purchase up to two tickets to attend the football game / evening ceremony.
  • The evening ceremony and football game will be available for free via live-stream on Lake Hamilton Live.

The Lake Hamilton School District understands that the changes to the homecoming traditions may come as a disappointment to students, their families, staff, and the community.  That said, the District is thankful to be able to offer a modified homecoming experience this year that complies with all guidelines and regulations set forth by the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education.
