CONSTITUTION WEEK
Mrs. Davis's class learned about our US Constitution and it's importance as part of Constitution Week. We are thankful for our rights and freedoms that it gives us!

MULTI-SYLLABLE DIVISION
Mrs. Ballard's 3rd grade class class is working hard on multi-syllable division! Students are using the rules they've learned about dividing words into syllables.

Students practiced the engineering design process in STEM lab by constructing free standing towers.

REFLEX PRACTICE
Students in Mrs. Davis's class learned to login to Reflex and began practicing and learning their math facts in 2nd grade this week. Reflex is a computer based program that individualizes math instruction and practice for our students with a game like feel. The students really enjoy using this program and working towards their goal of 100%

Guest readers, Joshua Brooks and Jacob Muddiman, from Mr. Bean’s homeroom came to read to Mrs. Diggs’s 2nd graders. They read Enemy Pie and The Interrupting Chicken. We love having BIG WOLVES visit and read to us!

After reading Our Class is a Family, Mrs. Ballard's class talked about the importance of becoming a classroom family and how to treat one another. Then using teamwork, they brainstormed and created a classroom promise.🙂💞

EVEN AND ODD NUMBERS
Students in Ms. Qualls' 2nd grade class are working on identifying even and odd numbers. They used pop cubes to build their numbers and compare.

Students in Ms. Smeltzer's 2nd grade class are working on their reading stamina. Independent reading for longer periods of time is a skill that our 2nd graders will work on mastering this year.
