Students in Ms Smeltzer's class have been enjoying reading Charlotte's Web as a shared reading lesson. Each day they read a chapter together and answer comprehension questions.

PEER TEACHING
Ms. Smeltzer's students teach each other during a math lesson. Peer teaching allows teachers to assess whether a student has a skill or not. If you are able to teach it, you know it!

THANK YOU BUS DRIVERS
Mrs. Vincent's 3rd grade class recently finished their kindness mission from the LHES KINDNESS MISSION POSSIBLE DAY. They wrote thank you letters to our bus drivers for getting us safely to and from school each day.

LHES will be celebrating Read Across America Week March 6-10 with fun dress up days, read-alouds from our Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Hughes, and a reading minutes competition. Make plans to participate!

Students in Mrs. Grisham's 3rd grade literacy classes enjoy a biography style scavenger hunt. They learned about different people from history as they searched for clues around the room!
