LABOR DAY HOLIDAY
All Lake Hamilton School District buildings and offices will be closed Monday, September 7, 2020, for the Labor Day Holiday. School will resume for all students and staff on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

NO COST STUDENT MEALS
This morning, the Arkansas Child Nutrition Unit announced that the USDA has extended the Seamless Summer Operation program through December 31, 2020, or until funding has been exhausted.
This means that all students will be able to eat one school breakfast and one school lunch, per day, at no cost. This will begin on Thursday, September 3, 2020, during lunch.
Any student wanting an extra breakfast, lunch, or à la carte item must purchase those separately.

Sometimes, we focus too much on the negative things and fail to recognize the positives. The media and social media outlets do not help much in this regard. This past Friday ended the first week of school for Lake Hamilton School District students, and things ran amazingly well given the pandemic world we’re experiencing. There is no doubt that almost every student, parent, and school employee had something go wrong throughout the week. Now, what about the other side of the story? What went right? VIRTUAL GUEST
Mrs. Diggs class enjoyed listening to Ms. Tiffany from the Garland County Library read to them in a virtual visit today! The students were excited to have a visitor read to the class even though it was a virtual visit!

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
All onsite and virtual students must have up to date immunizations. Tdap is required for all students 11 and older. Exceptions for any age are due. Kindergarten physicals and immunizations are also due. The meningitis vaccination is required for all 7th grade and 16 year old students.
Parents must provide proof to the school nurse for all immunizations. If students have not received the required vaccinations, please consult a physician or the Garland County Health Unit (501-624-3394) for an appointment. Please communicate with your school nurse if you have an upcoming appointment or if you have any further questions.

Thursday, September 3rd, is Picture Day at LHES. All students will have their picture made. This will be the photo used in the yearbook. Order forms should have been sent home. #LHWolfNation

All staff, students, and school visitors are wearing face-coverings this school year to keep our Wolves safe! Face-coverings are required at all times when attending athletic or extra-curricular events on campus. #MaskUp so that our students can suit up for their seasons this year!
