FLEXIBLE FRIDAYS BEGIN OCTOBER 30 The Lake Hamilton School District will begin offering “Flexible Fridays” to 4 - 12th grade students on Fridays of each week beginning Friday, October 30, 2020, until the end of the semester. All 4 - 12th grade students will have the option to attend school onsite or online on Flexible Fridays. K - 3rd grade students will continue their normal schedule and will not participate in Flexible Fridays. HANDS ON MUTIPLICATION PRACTICE Miss Wilson's 3rd grade math classes got to have some fun in math today! The students are just starting to learn about making equal groups for multiplication! The kids worked hard and had a blast! #LHWolfNation

FLU SHOT CLINIC REMINDER In coordination with the Arkansas Department of Health, Lake Hamilton School District will host a mass flu clinic for students only on the following dates: October 21:  Intermediate (4 - 5th grade), Middle (6 - 7th grade), ALE/PBS October 22:  Junior High (8 - 9th grade) and High School (10 - 12th grade) October 23: Primary (Pre-K - 1st grade) and Elementary (2 - 3rd grade) Information and permission forms can be found here: http://lhsd.info/Flu-Shot-Forms-2020 No flu mist is available. PreK and Primary parents must accompany their child to the LH Arena for their flu vaccination. PRE-K  & PRIMARY SCHOOL PARENTS: Please keep your child’s forms with you to take to high school.  Do not return forms to Primary School. Elementary, Intermediate, Middle, Jr, and High Schools.  All forms must be completed for students to be immunized at this clinic. Please complete, sign, and return ALL forms by the day of the flu clinic to your child's school.  Students without ALL completed forms will not be allowed to participate. Arkansas Department of Health will not host a community-wide clinic. However, they do offer the flu vaccination at the local Garland County Health Unit for adults and children Monday—Friday on a walk-in basis. #LHWolfNation

BECAUSE OF WINN DIXIE The 3rd grade students at LHES recently completed the reading of Because of Winn Dixie. Each class participated in a Because of Winn Dixie party. This party consisted of several items mentioned in the book, such as peanut butter sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches, Otis's pickles, littmus lozenges and dump punch. #LHWolfNation

NO COST STUDENT MEALS EXTENDED The USDA has extended no cost student meals until June 30, 2021.  Each student has may have one breakfast and one lunch per day at no cost.  #LHWolfNation

GO PINK ON OCTOBER 23 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Lake Hamilton School District will host the annual #PinkOut for #WolfFanFriday next Friday, October 23, to raise awareness. Those needing a pink shirt can stop by Big Red Stores (across from the intermediate and middle school). Sizes and quantities are limited. #LHWolfNation

REMINDER Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held by video or phone this year on Thursday, October 15. Students (onsite and virtual) will not attend school on the 15th during the parent-teacher conference day. Can't schedule something for the 15th? No worries! Contact your child's teacher(s) to set something up for an alternative date. There is no school for students or teachers (onsite or virtual) on Friday, October 16. Enjoy your three day weekend!
