While summer is just getting started, the Lake Hamilton School District wants to help families plan ahead for the upcoming school year. We've compiled important dates and back-to-school information so families can mark their calendars and begin preparing for the first day of school in August.
Below you'll find information regarding Open House, the first day of school, school supplies, meals, and other important details for the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

Thursday, August 6, 2026
1st–3rd Grade: By appointment between 2:00–6:00 PM
4th–12th Grade: Drop in anytime between 2:00–6:00 PM
Kindergarten Open House
Wednesday, August 12, 2026
By appointment only
Teachers will begin contacting kindergarten through 3rd-grade families on the afternoon of Monday, August 3, to schedule open house appointments.
Open House is a great opportunity for students and families to meet teachers, tour classrooms, learn about the upcoming school year, and get excited about returning to school.
📚 First Day of School
Grades 1–12: Wednesday, August 12, 2026
Kindergarten: Thursday, August 13, 2026
🎒 School Supplies & Meals
The Lake Hamilton School District is proud to provide all instructional school supplies as well as breakfast and lunch at no cost for all students.
Families are asked to send:
A backpack
A water bottle labeled with the student's name
