RIBBON WAND EXPLORATION
Students in P.E. classes this week are using ribbon wand and manipulatives to work on spatial awareness and limitation of movement.

RETTMANN'S WRITERS
Ms. Rettmann’s kindergarten class worked on writing today. They reviewed the roles of an author and an illustrator. Students then wrote a sentence about spiders, and illustrated their story.

THE WEDDING OF "Q" AND "U"
Mrs. Thornton’s first grade class has been learning about the spelling rule for the letters Q and U. Today her class wore fancy clothes to attend the wedding of Q and U, because they belong together in words! They celebrated with a read aloud, photo booth, cake and punch, dancing, and crafts!

After learning about pumpkins and reading the book "Spookly the Square Pumpkin", Ms. Jones' and Ms. A. Rhodes' kindergarten classes made their own Spookly Pumpkin.

PALEONTOLOGIST FOR A DAY
First Grade students have been learning what a Paleontologist is and what they do. They got the chance to be a Paleontologist for a day and dig for dinosaur fossils. They identified what kind of dinosaur they discovered and wrote about it.

Ms. Nash's kindergarten class went on a "Shape Hunt' on the playground. They found circles, triangles, rectangles and squares.

ANIMAL RESEARCH
Students in Mrs. Wornick’s first grade class have been doing animal research. The students read books and watched videos about their animal, recorded facts, and used those facts to write an informative story.

SUPER SIZED SPIDER
Ms. Carrouth's first grade class has been learning about spiders. They were amazed when they went to art class this week and saw the giant spider that Ms. Stallman had created.

Lake Hamilton Primary School students in Jennifer Mahan's kindergarten classes recently learned about the letter "A" and created a crown depicting things that started with the letter "A". #LHWolfNation

Mrs. Tucker’s 1st grade class has been learning how to write great sentences. They have been studying nouns and what they are. They created a “Noun Town” to help them remember this important part of a sentence.
