THANKSGIVING BREAK The LHSD is thankful for our wonderful students, staff, parents, and community members! All LHSD buildings and offices will be closed November 22 - 26 for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume for students and staff on Monday, November 29. #LHWolfNation

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY In honor of Veteran's Day, students in Ms. Kirby and Ms. Jessie's Pre-K class each brought in a picture of a close friend or family member who has served. #LHWolfNation

LEARNING PLACE VALUE Ms. Hall's first grade class is using pretzels and marshmallows to learn ones and tens place value. #LHWolfNation

Ms. Nash's Writers Ms. Nash’s kindergarten class is working on their beginning writing skills. They are learning how to tell a story through pictures to their friends. #LHWolfNation

FOOD DRIVE The Lake Hamilton School District's food drive will be held November 1 - 5, 2021. Each grade has been assigned a food item that can be brought to school during the week. Did you know the district supplies 239 students with food backpacks each Friday so the students will have something to eat over the weekend? The district also provides 50 - 55 food boxes to Lake Hamilton families each month. The Lake Hamilton Parent Center is currently in need of food for these two services. Please consider donating this week! Pre-K and Kindergarten: Granola Bars or Breakfast Bars 1st Grade: Mac & Cheese (Boxes or Individual Serving Size) 2nd Grade: Cereal (Large Boxes) 3rd Grade: Oatmeal (Individual Packets) 4th Grade: Peanut Butter or Jelly 5th Grade: Canned Vegetables or Instant Potatoes 6th Grade: Canned Soup or Packaged Soup Mixes 7th Grade: Rice or Hamburger Helper 8th Grade: Canned Meat (Vienna Sausage, Tuna, Chicken, etc.) 9th Grade: Crackers (Saltine, Ritz, Peanut Butter, etc.) High School, New Horizons, & PBS: Pasta or Pasta Sauce Central Office or Other Staff: Meals in a Can (Chef Boyardee, Stew, Chili, etc.) *Please check for an expiration date before sending food items to school. #LHWolfNation

PERSONAL SPACE LHPS is using the Guide for Life Curriculum this year to learn about the importance of social and emotional wellness. This month, first grade students are learning about the importance of personal space. In Mrs. Jordan's PE class, they are reading "Personal Space Camp" and "Through with the Zoo" and doing activities with hula hoops to demonstrate what personal space looks like. #LHWolfNation
