LHMS STUDENT COUNCIL
Lake Hamilton Middle School students recently had the opportunity to run for Student Council. Students interested in joining were required to have good grades and excellent conduct. They also had to write an essay and collect signatures from teachers, counselors, and administration. If students met all requirements, their names were placed on a ballot and their peers voted for the new members in their Social Studies classes.
The purpose of the Student Council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the Student Council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests, and concerns with the school-wide community.
