Last week, a student was overheard making a threatening statement. School administration was informed and immediately began investigating the matter. The families of the students involved were contacted and appropriate action was taken.
Since this time, rumors have circulated that this incident involved a weapon and the threat of violence. These rumors are false.
Recent events at schools have heightened everyone’s concern for the safety of students and staff. Be assured that any type of threat is taken seriously. The Lake Hamilton School District encourages you to talk with your child about the seriousness of threats and the importance of reporting suspicious activities, threats or disturbing information to a trusted adult.
