ANALYZING SUPER BOWL COMMERCIALS
Students in Ms. Laura Hunt and Mrs. Katie Jones career development classes are analyzing past Super Bowl commercials. They are determining the audience, marketing techniques, appeal and their overall appeal of each commercial.

CONFERENCE CHAMPS
LHJH Girls Basketball is back to back regular season conference champs with a record of 20-1. We play in the first round of Central Arkansas Junior High Conference Tournament in North Little Rock on Saturday!

MICROSOFT OFFICE SPEACIALIST WORD CERTIFICATION
Students in Mr. Gustaveson's classes have earned their Microsoft Office Specialist Word certification. They all met today to receive their awards and celebrate with some sweet treats! Way to go!

Due to the predicted inclement weather, the Lake Hamilton School District will not hold onsite instruction and will utilize an AMI day on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
AMI days are approved by the Arkansas Department of Education and count as instructional days. All students are required to complete assignments through their learning management systems: SeeSaw (grades K - 5) and Canvas (grades 6 - 12) in order to be counted as present for the AMI day on Tuesday.
The LHSD understands some students may be without access to the internet and/or electricity. As listed in the AMI plan approved by the Arkansas Department of Education, Lake Hamilton students have up to five (5) days following the return to onsite instruction to submit assignments.
Please contact your child's teacher(s) with any questions related to AMI assignments and expectations.

READING INCENTIVES
Mrs. Whitley awarded students with quiet reading time in the library. The students enjoying their books were sent to the library to get a break from the classroom to enjoy some leisure reading.

Reminder, there will be no school Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. School will resume Tuesday, January 17th.

MUSICAL AUDITION REMINDER
You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown auditions are coming up! 9-12 students can pick up their packet in the choir room. Students need to have a 1-minute monologue memorized and a musical theatre song ready to perform.

The LHJH and all LHSD buildings will be closed December 21, 2022- January 3, 2023 for Christmas break. School will resume for students and staff on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Have a safe and wonderful holiday!
