LHJH ANAEROBIC CELLULAR RESPIRATION
Students in Mrs. Greeson's 9th grade physical science classes conducted a lab analyzing anaerobic cellular respiration. The 'Barf Bag' lab led students to conclude that dry yeast are able to perform cellular respiration in the absence of oxygen. Students collected data on the amount of carbon dioxide produced and will graph their data in class.

LHJH HALLOWEEN TREATS
The 8th & 9th graders had a competition between their Wolf Time classes. Our winners were awarded a Halloween Party on Halloween! The winning classes enjoyed pizza, sweet treats, and a movie during their 6th, 7th, & 8th-period classes! Way to go to the winning classes: Triplett, Pitts, & Deweber

LHJH PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
The Lake Hamilton Junior High Parent Teacher Conferences are on Tuesday, October 11th, and Thursday, October 13th, from 3:30-6:30. Conferences will be in the LHJH cafeteria. Parents unable to attend in person may reach out to their child's teachers to set up a conference by telephone, email, or virtually.

ELEMENT SCAVENGER HUNT
Students in Ms. Jackson's physical science completed an element scavenger hunt. The students had to identify the numbers of protons , neutrons, electrons and valance electrons. The students had to use the information to identify the mystery elements.

LHJH 8TH-GRADE HEALTH SCREENINGS
The Junior High will have 8th-grade health screenings on Tuesday, September 20th. Please make sure your 8th grader attends school on this day. Also, if students wear glasses or contact lenses they will need to wear them for the screening.
