NOW HIRING | BUS DRIVERS The Lake Hamilton School District is hiring bus drivers. A driver must be (𝟮𝟭) 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆-𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿, have a 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱, be able to 𝗼𝗯𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲, provide a 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙜 𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣, and 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 that is required by the Arkansas Department of Education once every (2) two years. A driver must 𝙤𝙗𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 "𝘽" 𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚 with Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus Endorsements. LHJH | POSITIVE PROPOGANDA Lake Hamilton Junior High art students were introduced to Norman Rockwell's "Rosie the Riveter" and then discussed how the piece was used as propaganda to "stomp out" hatred. Students were also introduced to artist Roy Lichtenstein and his graphic style of art that is often used in advertising and propaganda. Each art student is creating their own positive propaganda piece and then using Lichtenstein's style to bring it to life with color! #LHWolfNation

A DAY OF PRAYER FOR ARKANSAS STUDENTS Act 902 - An Act to Establish a Day of Prayer for Arkansas Students was passed by the 93rd General Assembly. Governor Hutchinson has declared the last Wednesday in September as “A Day of Prayer for Arkansas Students”. This year the day will be recognized on Wednesday, September 29th. Governor Hutchinson encourages all citizens of all faiths and backgrounds to voluntarily join in prayer for the success and safety of our students. LHJH SCREENING Nurse Jaynie will be doing Vision and Hearing, BMI and Scoliosis screenings starting next week. If your child wears glasses please make sure they have them for testing. If you do not want your child to participate in BMI please send a written letter to school with your child to give to the nurse. #LHWolfNation

FCA AND DONUTS Students had another great FCA meeting this morning with a side of donuts! Troy Phillips and Justy Smith led the devotional this morning. The Junior High FCA meetings are every Thursday morning before school in the gym. #LHWolfNation #FCA

LOCKDOWN LIFTED The Lake Hamilton School District has returned to normal operations. The lockdown has been lifted. An individual on campus was making threatening remarks and showing aggressive behavior to school staff. The Garland County Sherriff's Department and school security team immediately responded to the situation. The individual is no longer on the Lake Hamilton School District campus and is in the custody of the GCSD. #LHWolfNation

LHSD | LOCKDOWN The Lake Hamilton School District is currently under lockdown. Students and staff are remaining inside with all exterior doors locked. The Garland County Sheriffs Department and school security team are on-site and are in the process of removing the threat. The district will release more information regarding the lockdown as it becomes available. #LHWolfNation
