COVID-19 UPDATE Last week, Governor Hutchinson announced that all public health directives (with the exception of the mask mandate) are changing to public health guidance. While a directive is a mandate, the Governor said that guidance is a strong recommendation. Governor Hutchinson will reassess the state's progress in the COVID-19 pandemic as we approach March 31. School districts have been given the authority to continue requiring students, staff, and visitors to abide by Arkansas Department of Health guidance, which includes wearing masks and social distancing. At this time, nothing has changed for staff, students, or visitors to schools/events at Lake Hamilton. The Lake Hamilton School District believes the reason we have made over 115 days of onsite instruction is by following and adhering to Arkansas Department of Health guidelines. Even though the directives (with the exception of the mask mandate) have been changed to guidelines, the district is still required to follow the quarantine and contact tracing guidelines. All staff, students, and visitors on campus will be required to continue wearing masks and social distancing until further notice. #LHWolfNation

G.T AWARENESS WEEK This week is G.T Awareness Week. 5th grade students in A.C.E. are working on 3d stem model kits. Each robot has moveable parts, working motor and will perform a task. #LHWolfNation

MAKING CARS OUT OF REUSED MATERIALS Students in Mrs. Walker's fifth grade class this week made cars from reused materials. #LHWolfNation

READ ACROSS AMERICA SPIRIT WEEK NEXT WEEK In observance of National Read Across America Day, Lake Hamilton Primary, Elementary, and Intermediate will be celebrating with the following dress-up activities and a reading competition next week, March 1-5. #LHWolfNation

SPRING PICTURE DAY IS TOMORROW Spring Picture Day is tomorrow. You can order ahead on mylifetouch.com with the picture day ID: EVTWN6WS9 or you can fill out the order form that will be sent home today. Order forms must be sent to school tomorrow or purchased before your child takes their picture. VALENTINE MATH WITH VIRTUAL STUDENTS Students in Mrs. Ferrell's quad participated in a Valentine math activity with virtual students. They completed the math activity as a group and were able to work together! Go wolves! #LHWolfNation

The safety and security of our students and staff remain our top priority. Although the majority of main roads are clear, there are many side roads in the Lake Hamilton School District that remain unsafe for school buses. Monday will be a virtual learning day for students and staff. Students and parents should log in and check their Seesaw or Canvas account for assignments and specific classroom instructions.
