STAFF SHOUTOUT Each day, we will share a staff shoutout that's been received by the district. Each staff member that receives a staff shoutout submission receives a "staff shoutout card" with the message. You can submit a staff shoutout by clicking this link: https://lhsd.info/Staff-ShoutOuts Today, the staff shoutout is to Brian Hopkins at the intermediate school: "I would like to say a great big "THANK YOU" to Mr. Hopkins for his weekly Monday Motivation quote to the LHIS staff. He hasn't missed a Monday and the quotes he sends, always seem to "hit the mark"! I repeatedly refer back to the quotes for encouragement throughout the week. Thank you, Mr. Hopkins!" -Lea Ann Ferrell (LHIS Teacher) #LHWolfNation

READING CHARLIE MAY SIMON AWARD WINNING BOOKS Wow! Fourth grader, McKinley Selig, just did something awesome! She completed ALL 15 books on the Charlie May Simon Reading List! The Charlie May Simon Children’s Book Award for children’s literature is selected through a vote taken by Arkansas school children in grades four, five and six. To be able to vote in the library in April, they must read at least three of the books from the list first. McKinley is the first LHIS student to ever read every single book on the list, so we thought she needed a special prize, even though she didn't know she would get one. #LHWolfNation
