SPIDERS ARE ENGINEERS! Students in Mrs. Turpen's 5th gr. A.C.E. class designed and created spider webs after studying spiders vs. engineers. The webs were tested for weight capacity by holding rocks. Students learned more about careers in engineering and the amazing world spiders! Happy Halloween! #LHWolfNation

RED RIBBON SPIRIT WEEK It's Red Ribbon Spirit Week at Lake Hamilton! A week to celebrate being drug and alcohol free! Students and staff are encouraged to participate in the dress up days throughout the week! ESCAPE ROOM Students in Mrs. Huffman's reading classes got to participate in an escape room! Students had to work together to answer questions about making inferences and crack the code in order to move on to the next level. Many groups passed all 5 levels and escaped! #LHWolfNation

W.I.N. TIME Some fourth-grade students at LHIS created multiplication models/arrays on their desks during W.I.N. time. (W.I.N. stands for What I Need) The goal was to get a better understanding of how multiplication is repeated addition and equal groups. #LHWolfNation

KROGER PLUS CARD Do you shop at Kroger?  If you register your Kroger Plus Card for the Lake Hamilton Parent Center, a portion of the sale will go towards the parent center's food pantry and food for kids backpack program!  All at no cost to you! #LHWolfNation

LHIS | ART Lake Hamilton Intermediate School students have been learning about Australian aboriginal symbols. Students drew the symbols and then used dot painting to add color to them. #LHWolfNation

LHIS | TEXT EVIDENCE Lake Hamilton Intermediate School students in Rachel Reeve's class learned how to use text to determine character traits in Swindle. #LHWolfNation

PERFECT SCORE Students in Mrs. Elkin's class were learning about bones. These hard-working students made a perfect score on their bones test. #LHWolfNation
