BOARD MEETING POST-PONED The Lake Hamilton School District Board Meeting originally scheduled for Monday, February 15, has been moved to Monday, February 22. The meeting will be held in the Lake Hamilton High School cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. #LHWolfNation

SENIOR HIGH BASKETBALL INFORMATION Friday, February 12: The teams will host Hot Springs. Senior night festivities will begin at 5:45 p.m. Senior girls will play at 6:00 p.m. followed by the senior boys. The JV game has been cancelled. Saturday, February 13: The teams will host Pine Bluff. Senior girls will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by the senior boys. MITCH PETRUS AWARD Lake Hamilton High School senior, Destin Rhodes, was recently awarded the Mitch Petrus Award. Destin appeared on Fox16 to receive the award. Sue and Phil Petrus, parents of Mitch Petrus, joined the broadcast via video conference to offer their congratulations and announce that Destin would receive scholarship money associated with the award. Mitch Petrus passed away in 2019 of a heat stroke. The Mitch Petrus Award goes to a high school football player each year that best represents Mitch's characteristics. #LHWolfNation

SPORTS HALL OF FAME BANQUET TICKETS ON SALE The Lake Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame Committee has selected 5 individuals to induct into the Lake Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2021. The banquet and induction ceremony will take place on Friday, February 19, in the Lake Hamilton High School Cafeteria at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available online (https://lhsd.info/Sports-HOF-Tickets) for $15 per person and include the banquet, dinner, and admission to the basketball game. Tickets to the banquet will not be available at the door. All tickets must be purchased by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021. Congratulations to the Class of 2021 Sports Hall of Fame Inductees: Meredith Heckel LaRue, Ethan Turpen, Matt Wait, Jessica Weatherford, and John Welch. *All COVID-19 directives will be followed at the banquet, dinner, and basketball game. #LHWolfNation

ALL STATE BAND Eight Lake Hamilton High School Power Band of Arkansas students have been selected for the Arkansas All-State band. The students competed for individual placement in the Region 2 Honor Band this past December. The highest-scoring students in each region qualified to audition for the Arkansas All-State band. All-State is the highest honor an individual musician can earn in Arkansas. SWIMMING WOLVES HEADED TO CONFERENCE The Lake Hamilton Swimming Wolves recently competed in Russellville, placing 3rd, with the following top finishers: 1st in 200 IM and 500 Free: Ethan Smith 2nd in 500 Free: Peyton Speas 2nd in 200 Medley Relay: Colton Barentine, Ethan Smith, Aidan Qualls and Coby Qualls 2nd in 200 Free Relay: Ethan Smith, Colton Barentine, Zeke McCain, Aidan Qualls 3rd in 100 Fly and 100 Free: Aidan Qualls 4th in 100 Breast: Coby Qualls 5th in 50 Free: Michaella Morris Congratulations to the following swimmers that have made state qualifying times: Ethan Smith Aidan Qualls Coby Qualls Zeke McCain Colton Barentine Peyton Speas The team will compete in Russellville this Saturday at the 5A South Conference Meet and the 5A State Swim Meet on February 27th. #LHWolfNation

STUDENTS OFF CAMPUS THURSDAY & FRIDAY Thursday, February 11, 2021, is Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences. Students (onsite and virtual) will not attend school on the 11th during the parent-teacher conference day. Each building has released information regarding conference scheduling options. Can't schedule something for the 11th? No worries! Contact your child's teacher(s) to set something up for an alternative date. Friday, February 12, 2021, is a Student Digital Day. Students will not attend school onsite this day. Instead, they will complete virtual assignments from home. Attendance will be counted based on the completion of assignments. Teachers will communicate specific participation expectations with students. #LHWolfNation
