ARKANSAS SEAL OF BILITERACY Three juniors and ten seniors were recognized recently at the Lake Hamilton School Board Meeting for receiving the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy in 2019 and 2020. The seal is given to students who demonstrate the ability to understand, speak, read, and write in two languages. It is recognized in 42 states and Washington, D.C. All students were presented with a certificate. Additionally, the seniors were presented with a medallion to be worn during graduation to recognize their achievement. Here is the list of students that submitted letters to participate in senior breakfast/walk: http://lhsd.info/Senior-Breakfast The breakfast is from 7:40 - 8:10 a.m. in the lobby of Wolf Arena. Seniors can arrive in comfortable clothes and then put on their cap and gown after breakfast. Wear comfortable shoes for walking through the buildings. Following breakfast, seniors will load buses and will go to each building on campus. The senior walk should end no later than 11:00 a.m.

The Coordinator meets with CTE teachers individually and in small groups, with local, regional, and statewide members of the public involved in CTE, and professional learning communities to support the implementation of CTE program requirements. The Coordinator oversees all CTE Advisory Council activities including but not limited to: Selecting and Recruiting Career Cluster Advisory Members Scheduling Bi-monthly Advisory Meetings Developing Teacher capacity to lead Advisory Meetings The Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with Students, CTE Teachers, Community and Business Partners to provide opportunities for senior CTE students to participate in Career Practicums aligned to their Career Pathway. The Coordinator is responsible for working with LHSD Guidance Staff and Building Administrators to develop a Master Schedule that aligns foundation courses with technical courses in the student's Career Pathway. 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Current Arkansas Teaching License and a 412 Career Preparation Endorsement. The position is grant-funded for two years and renewed in subsequent years based on the availability of funds. SUMMER BULK MEAL REGISTRATION The Lake Hamilton School District will provide no-cost bulk meals for children 18 years and younger during the summer via drive-through pick up. In order to prepare the appropriate number of bulk meals, registration is required​ (http://lhsd.info/Summer-Bulk-Meal-Registration). Summer bulk meals will be provided from June 15 until July 30 on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (please choose your day below when registering). 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches (one of which will include a hot lunch) will be provided for each child that is 18 years or younger in the household. The registration deadline for summer bulk meals is Friday, June 4, 2021. #LHWolfNation

COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC All persons age 12 and above are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. The Lake Hamilton School District will host a free, voluntary, on-site vaccination clinic for all parents of LHSD students and students age 12 and older at the Wolf Health Clinic on Thursday, May 20, 2021. The vaccine clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Please fill out the registration form (https://lhsd.info/May-20-Vaccine-Registration) if you and/or your student (12 or older) would like to receive the Pfizer vaccine on May 20. Please note: A parent/guardian must bring any student under the age of 18 years of age to the Wolf Health Clinic on May 20 in order for the student to receive the vaccine. The deadline to register for the vaccine clinic is Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
