BASKETBALL SEASON BEGINS Basketball season is here! The high school maroon and gold game is tonight in Wolf Arena. Girls at 6:00 p.m. with the boys at 6:30 p.m. A parent meeting will follow each game. Go Wolves! #LHWolfNation

STUDENTS OF THE WEEK Daylee Aitken and Ethan Morris Daylee, nominated by Ms. Miller, displays a great attitude in class, always giving her best effort. She also took charge of the National Honors Society Homecoming float and made sure it happened. She was so kind to everyone who wanted to participate, gentle loving heart and compassionate toward others. She was great with the little kids as well. Ethan, nominated by Ms. Keeling, goes above and beyond to help teachers and students when needed. He stays to help a student 8th period for peer tutoring. He is polite, kind, respectful, and generous with his time. Students are nominated by their teachers every week for their remarkable actions as leaders, role models, volunteers; their kindness, their dedication, and their sense of community. STATE CHAMPIONS ​The Lake Hamilton High School boys cross country team captured the 5A Arkansas State Championship on Friday, November 5. This is the second consecutive state title for the boy's cross country team. The girls finished 3rd in the 5A classification. LHHS | STEP WITH THE CITY Lake Hamilton High School STEP (students transitioning to employment program) students started their new jobs with the City of Hot Springs this week. Students worked to put up Christmas lights in Arlington Park. #LHWolfNation

PBS INTERVIEW Lake Hamilton High School senior defensive tackle, Dylan Williams, was interviewed by Arkansas PBS yesterday. The interview will air during the AAA State Football Championship games that will take place in December. #LHWolfNation

STATE CROSS COUNTRY TICKETS The high school state cross country championships are being held on the Oaklawn Infield today and tomorrow. The senior boy's and senior girl's will compete for the state title on Friday. Girls at 2:00 p.m. and the boys at 2:45 p.m. This is an Arkansas Activities Association event. LHHS POWER BAND OF AR COMPETES IN STATE Congratulations to the Lake Hamilton High School band for earing the Silver Medal at 6A State Marching Band Championships yesterday! State Marching Contest began in 2016, and Lake Hamilton has earned 1st division eating at State each year, and medalists in 5 of 6 championships. Your next opportunity to see the 2021 show will be Monday, at the Grand Nationals send off performance and Chili Supper. #LHWolfNation

FOOD DRIVE The Lake Hamilton School District's food drive will be held November 1 - 5, 2021. Each grade has been assigned a food item that can be brought to school during the week. Did you know the district supplies 239 students with food backpacks each Friday so the students will have something to eat over the weekend? The district also provides 50 - 55 food boxes to Lake Hamilton families each month. The Lake Hamilton Parent Center is currently in need of food for these two services. Please consider donating this week! LHHS QUIZ BOWL The LHHS Quiz Bowl team went 5-1 at the Centerpoint Invitational Tournament, finishing behind reigning 6A champion Russellville with one fewer answered question in the final game, to earn 2nd place for the day. Wesley Bonner, team captain, was the high-point player for Lake Hamilton. #LHWolfNation

LHHS BOOK CLUB High school book club members met to discuss Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson. Students used their observation skills to discuss crime scene details in the beginning of the book and investigate what they think will happen next. #LHWolfNation

LHHS SELF CONTAINED CLASS FIELD TRIP TO GARVAN GARDENS The Self Contained classes had a Scavenger Hunt & Picnic at Garvan Gardens. They explored the new fall decorations, the fall mums and all the preparations for the holiday season. #LHWolfNation
