LHHS HONORS VETERANS
In order to honor the Veterans that work at the High School, the National Honor Society created storyboards for each Veteran on the high school campus. Students interviewed the Veterans and the Photography class took pictures of each. The students then put the interviews and pictures on a storyboard to display in front of the Counselors offices. Several students in American History and Psychology classes helped with the creation of the display. The hat at the top of the display is an actual WW2 US officers hat. It was worn by Chris Groves grandfather Col. Sherry B. Myers. The storyboards are honoring Chief Warrant Officer James Lively (JROTC instructor), 1st. Sgt. Steven Wages (JROTC instructor), Javier Ibarra-retired Major (ISS instructor) and John Gardner-retired Naval Petty Officer (Wolf Den Instructor). The NHS made candy jars and presented them to each Veteran as well as thank you cards. The display will remain in the lobby for the month of November to honor our special Veterans.
