BUILDING WORDS Kindergarten students in Ms. Avery's class are working on building CVC words in small groups using picture cards and letter cubes. #LHWolfNation

ONE-ON-ONE LEARNING Instructional specialists and Speech teachers joined Ms. Blocker's kindergarten class this week to provide additional instruction for student rotations. Each student rotated to a station to work on language skills, fine motor skills, and letter knowledge, as well as an independent work center. #LHWolfNation

CUB CLUB AND ALPHA PACK Congratulations to our LHPS Cub Club and Alpha Pack for November. These students were selected by their teacher based on outstanding character and doing everything "The Wolf Way." #LHWolfNation

WHISPER PHONES Primary school students enjoy using whisper phones during reading time. A whisper phone amplifies the sound, which helps students hear the sounds and words they're saying more clearly, giving them a better understanding of the sound they are hearing without disturbing students next to them. #LHWolfNation

REMINDER: GRINCH PICTURES Pictures with the Grinch will be taken Thursday, December 1st for $5. All money collected goes to the PTO to help with various projects for our students. Wear your best Christmas attire! #LHWolfNation

THANKSGIVING BREAK The LHSD is thankful for our wonderful students, staff, parents, and community members! All Lake Hamilton School District buildings and offices will be closed November 21 - 25 for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume for students and staff on Monday, November 28. #LHWolfNation

TURKEY TROUBLE After reading the book "Turkey Trouble" about a turkey who tries to disguise himself to avoid being Thanksgiving dinner, students in Ms. Oglesby's kindergarten class disguised their own turkeys at home with their family and brought them to school to show off. #LHWolfNation

WORKING WITH CLAY Kindergarten students are making door hangers out of clay in art class. They learned what clay is made out of and about different textures. They stamped their initial in the clay. After it dried for a week, they are adding handles and painted them! #LHWolfNation

G.U.I.D.E. LESSONS FOR LIFE Kindergarten students in Ms. Jordan's class are learning G.U.I.D.E (growth, understanding, interaction, decisions, empathy) life lessons on understanding the importance of personal and general space. #LHWolfNation

FOCUS LETTERS Mrs. Bledsoe’s kindergarten students enjoy working on their focus letters while in their daily Literacy centers. #LHWolfNation

THANK YOU Thanks to donations from friends and family, students in Ms. Jones' kindergarten class receive a free book each month. This month they received the book "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey". They read the story and practiced sequencing by putting the events in order. Each child received a copy of the book to take home and read with a grown-up. #LHWolfNation

CUB CLUB AND ALPHA PACK LHPS has announced its First-Grade Alpha Pack and Kindergarten Cub Club for the month of October. These students were selected by their teachers for being all-around awesome kids and doing things the "Wolf Way". #LHWolfNation

PRE-K PUMPKIN PATCH Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Alesia's Pre-K class had a fun time at the pumpkin patch. #LHWolfNation
