8th-grade students will need to report to school on Monday, April 24 by 7:55 a.m. as 8th-grade students will begin ACT Aspire testing. LHJH will not have Late-Start Monday on this day. FUTURE ENGINEER CLASS CHATS PROGRAM Mr. Launius's computer science students were recently visited (virtually) by engineers and computer programmers from Amazon through Amazon's Future Engineer Class Chats program. Two of these engineers are from outside the United States and brought new cultural insights along with their engineering expertise. Students were able to interview their guest speakers once they finished the presentation to find out more about a typical day working at Amazon, the engineer's connections with Jeffrey Bezos, and how the leadership principles of the company shape work. This experience opened students' eyes to the career opportunities that are connected to computer science and software/hardware engineering. #LHWolfNation

LHJH COURSE SCHEDULING Students from the seventh and eighth grades came to the Junior High with their parents to meet with their advisors and plan their schedule of courses for 2023-2024. LHJH is already excited for next year for our returning students and new students from the middle school! #LHWolfNation

SPRING PICTURES Just a reminder picture day is tomorrow. All students will be getting their pictures taken. Order forms have been sent home, if another order form is needed it is available to pick up in the LHJH library. Pictures can be purchased with an order form or paid for online using the school code located on the order form. #LHWolfNation

LHJH NEON NIGHT DANCE The Lake Hamilton Junior High is hosting a school dance for 8th & 9th grade students. The dance will be Saturday, April 22nd, from 6:30-8:30 PM in the LH Wolf Arena. There will be concessions available for purchase and raffle tickets for door prizes. The dress is casual to formal attire, appropriate dress is required. Hope to see you all there! #LHWolfNation

CLASS REGISTRATION MEETING All 7th-11th grade students and parents need to schedule a class registration meeting for Friday, April 7, 2023. Current 7th and 8th grade students and parents will meet at the Junior High. The students and parents will meet with their advisor to plan and review courses for the 2023-2024 school year and review the Student Success Plan. PICTURE DAY LHJH will have Spring Pictures taken on Wednesday, April 5th. Order forms will be sent home with students during their third period classes tomorrow. Students can pre-pay using their picture order forms , or they can order online using your Picture day ID located on the order form. #LHWolfNation
