4TH GRADE TRACK MEET/FIELD DAY
Fourth-grade students participated in their track and field day yesterday by competing in the events: sack race, frisbee throw, long jump, softball throw, football throw, jump rope race, basketball dribble relay, soccer dribble relay, 1-mile run, 400-meter run, 200-meter run, 100-meter dash, and 50-meter dash.

DISCOVERING ENERGY BY CREATING MAKEY MAKEY GAME CONTROLLERS
During our new G.O.A.L time in Mrs. Chuang's class, some students learned about kinetic energy, energy transfer, conductive materials, and computational thinking by making their own game controller. Students used a Makey Makey and some Play Dough to make their controllers so that they could play Super Mario Bros On-line.
G.O.A.L time stands for Go Out And Learn.

BOOKS DONATED TO THE LHIS LIBRARY IN MEMORY OF MR. GRAVES
American Fidelity donated two books to the LHIS Library in memory of Mr. Graves. The books that were donated are Ida, Always by Caron Levis and Charles Santoso and With a Little Help from My Friends by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Thank you so much for the thoughtful donation. CODING ROBOTS DURING G.O.A.L TIME

NATIONAL POLICE WEEK RECOGNITION
Students in Mrs. Ferrell's quad created treat bags and wrote thank you letters to state, county and city police officers for National Police Week. They were able to give these treat bags and letters to local officers. Thank you officers for your service to our community!

SUMMER BULK MEAL REGISTRATION
The Lake Hamilton School District will provide no-cost bulk meals for children 18 years and younger during the summer via drive-through pick up. In order to prepare the appropriate number of bulk meals, registration is required (http://lhsd.info/Summer-Bulk-Meal-Registration).
Summer bulk meals will be provided from June 15 until July 30 on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (please choose your day below when registering).
7 breakfasts and 7 lunches (one of which will include a hot lunch) will be provided for each child that is 18 years or younger in the household. The registration deadline for summer bulk meals is Friday, June 4, 2021.

COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC
All persons age 12 and above are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. The Lake Hamilton School District will host a free, voluntary, on-site vaccination clinic for all parents of LHSD students and students age 12 and older at the Wolf Health Clinic on Thursday, May 20, 2021. The vaccine clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Please fill out the registration form (https://lhsd.info/May-20-Vaccine-Registration) if you and/or your student (12 or older) would like to receive the Pfizer vaccine on May 20.
Please note: A parent/guardian must bring any student under the age of 18 years of age to the Wolf Health Clinic on May 20 in order for the student to receive the vaccine.
The deadline to register for the vaccine clinic is Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
