STUDENTS OF THE WEEK - SEPTEMBER 12 Fiona Hunter and Bryan Ferry Fiona, nominated by Mr. Richardson, is a model student. She is always working hard and being positive. She helps those around her in Choir and never asks for praise or admiration. Bryan, nominated by Ms. Webb, helps her clean her room every afternoon by spraying the desks. He volunteered to do this and seems to really enjoy lending a hand. Students are nominated by their teachers every week for their remarkable actions as leaders, role models, volunteers; their kindness, and their sense of community. Congratulations! #AmazingWolves #SchoolCommunity #StudentsOfTheWeek #MakeItCount #LHHS #LHWolfNation ------------------------------- This year Subway continues to recognize our Students of the Week with a free lunch. Thanks Subway!

6-12TH GRADE PERSONAL DEVICE OPTION Over the past few years, student use of personal electronic devices, such as Chromebooks, in the classroom has increased. Each year, the district receives requests from students and parents on wanting to use a students' personal device instead of the school-issued Chromebook in class. In the past, it has been a district policy that only school-issued devices were allowed to connect to the school network and be used in the classroom. The Lake Hamilton School District has now set up a new network that will allow a students' personal device to connect to the network. Any student in the 6 - 12th grade that would like to use their personal laptop computer instead of a school-issued Chromebook may do so as long as they complete the following steps: 1. The student must return their school-issued Chromebook and charging cord to the school. 2. The student must bring their personal electronic device to the media center to be registered for use on the school network. 3. Once registered, the student will be provided a password for the “Student Device” network. 4. After a student is connected to the “Student Device” network, they should visit the school website homepage (lhwolves.net), under the “Parents & Students” tab, and click on “Clever Login” 5. Students will enter their student (firstname.lastname@lhwolves.net) email address and password and will then have access to the school network to complete assignments throughout the day. #LHWolfNation

WHAT WENT RIGHT Sometimes, we focus too much on the negative things and fail to recognize the positives. The media and social media outlets do not help much in this regard. Bad news is typically more likely to get published, broadcast, and shared. That said, let's see how many shares we can get from this positive news post! This past Friday ended the first week of school for Lake Hamilton School District students, and things ran amazingly well given the pandemic world we’re experiencing. There is no doubt that almost every student, parent, and school employee had something go wrong throughout the week. Now, what about the other side of the story? What went right? Click the link below to read about all of the positives from the first week of school: http://lhsd.info/What-Went-Right #LHWolfNation
