ASPIRATIONS IN COMPUTING HONORS The National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors 9th-12th grade students for their computing-related achievements and interests and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, tenacity in the face of barriers to access, and plans for post-secondary education. Congratulations to the following girls who received Arkansas Affiliate Winner Recognition: Taylor Alred, Kaylee Altamirano, Nancy Altamirano, McKenzie Crumpton, Colleen Miller, and Leianna Netterville.  The following girls received the National Certificate of Distinction: Madison Louton, Annie Mayberry, Yadira Morales, and Susy Rios. DEADLINE TO REGISTER: MARCH 12 The Lake Hamilton School District will provide no-cost bulk meals for children 18 years and younger during Spring Break via drive-through pick up. In order to prepare the appropriate number of bulk meals, registration is required​ (http://lhsd.info/Spring-Break-Bulk-Meal-Registration) Bulk meal drive through pick up will take place on Friday, March 19, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. behind the high school cafeteria. 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches will be provided for each child that is 18 years or younger in the household. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALIST Congratulations to the Lake Hamilton Indoor Winds (LHIW) for being named a WGI World Championship Semi-Finalist in virtual competition week 2! LHIW submitted a recording of their 2021 program 'Retro Replay' for consideration, and placed 2nd in their round, advancing to the semi-final round. LHIW is a 2018 WGI A Class World Champion, and a 2019 WGI Open Class Silver Medalist. The next chance to see the LH Indoor Winds ensemble will be April 10th, at the Arkansas Marching Arts Association Greenwood competition. #LHWolfNation

WRESTLING WOLVES AT STATE The Lake Hamilton High School Wrestling Wolves competed at the 5A State Wrestling Championship last week at UALR. Congratulations to the boys team for finishing 3rd place overall.
