"Late Start Mondays" begin on Monday, August 23, at the high school. See below for information regarding "Late Start Mondays."
What's the purpose of Late Start Mondays?
To allow teacher content teams the time needed to grow professionally in a collaborative setting to improve teaching and learning.
To review essential standards and learning targets.
To create a guaranteed and viable curriculum for all students.
To improve student achievement and growth.
To develop common formative and common summative assessments.
To plan intervention and extension lessons for students to meet individual student needs.
To collaborate on the best research-based practices and strategies to use in the classroom.

Late Start Mondays FAQ's:
Busses will run at normal times and breakfast will be served.
On Late Start Mondays, LHHS students who do not attend National Park College Technical Center 1st block, or who do not have band 1st period are not required to be on campus until 8:45 AM.
Students who arrive on campus between 7:30 and 8:45 are expected to be in the cafeteria.
Students who attend NPTC 1st block or have band 1st period should arrive at LHHS at their normal time.
On Late Start Mondays, 1st-period classes will begin at 8:50, 2nd-period classes will begin at 9:40 and 4th-period classes will begin at 10:30. On Late Start Mondays, students will not go to WIN Time during the 3rd period.

GOLF SEASON!
The girls golf team has won one and and lost one in closely contested matches against Centerpoint. Lake Hamilton will host the conference tournament this season at Glenwood as well as the State 5A girls tournament. Come out and support the girls & boys golf team this Thursday for a match at Glenwood beginning at 1:00.

HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATION
The Lake Hamilton High School staff held a celebration today for Jil'Lana Heard, the LHHS Library Media Specialist. Heard represented the high school as their building level teacher of the year, was selected as the district teacher of the year, and has now been selected as a regional finalist in the state contest. #LHWolfNation


MEALS AT NO COST FOR 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR
The Lake Hamilton School District is pleased to announce that breakfasts and lunches will be served to all students at no charge during the 2021-2022 school year. It is not necessary to complete a meal application for free or reduced-priced meals as The United States Department of Agriculture has extended meal benefits to all students at this time.
For households who wish to complete a meal application, please click the following link: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Home/PickDistrict. Paper applications will also be available upon request at each school.
These meal benefits do not include a la carte items sold in the cafeteria. If students wish to purchase items a la carte, they will need to have money for those purchases.
All adults, teachers, support staff members, and administrators of the district must assume the full cost of the meal which is $2.25 for Breakfast and $3.85 for Lunch.

MASKS REQUIRED INDOORS & ON SCHOOL BUSES
On Monday, August 9, 2021, the Lake Hamilton School District Board of Education approved the following mask policy:
All students (Pre-K through 12th grade), employees, and visitors entering schools and indoor facilities within the Lake Hamilton School District must wear an appropriate face-covering. All passengers and drivers on district school busses must wear an appropriate face-covering.
The Board of Education will review COVID-19 case counts and related data monthly. The mask policy will expire on December 17, 2021, or sooner, if the board moves to repeal them, or a court acts to reverse the temporary injunction or uphold Act 1002 of 2021.
