LHHS | STATE GOLF The Lake Hamilton High School boys golf team qualified as a team for the state tournament for the first time in program history! The team is playing iat Mystic Creek in El Dorado today in the 5A State Tournament. Good luck to the team: Peyton Garner (senior), Cade Robinson (senior), Zac Pennington (junior), Brode Horton (sophomore), and Jack Higginbotham (sophomore). The Lake Hamilton High School girls golf team had two individuals qualify for the 5A state tournament: Jordyn Garner (sophomore) and Ginny Higginbotham (senior). The girls represented the girls golf program very well last week during the 5A Girls Golf Tournament held at Glenwood Country Club. #LHWolfNation

A DAY OF PRAYER FOR ARKANSAS STUDENTS Act 902 - An Act to Establish a Day of Prayer for Arkansas Students was passed by the 93rd General Assembly. Governor Hutchinson has declared the last Wednesday in September as “A Day of Prayer for Arkansas Students”. This year the day will be recognized on Wednesday, September 29th. Governor Hutchinson encourages all citizens of all faiths and backgrounds to voluntarily join in prayer for the success and safety of our students. GOLF HEADED TO STATE The Lake Hamilton High School golf team competed in the conference tournament yesterday at the Glenwood Country Club. Congratulations to the boys team for qualifying for the state tournament that will be held October 5th at Mystic Creek in El Dorado. On the girls team, Ginny Higginbotham and Jordyn Garner qualified individually for the girls state tournament that will be held in Glenwood this Sunday. #LHWolfNation

QUIZ BOWL ON A ROLL The Lake Hamilton High School quiz bowl team went 7-0 in the Cyclone Invitational at Russellville High School this past weekend and earned first place in the 16-team tournament. Wesley Bonner, team captain, was the high point player for Lake Hamilton. The team is coached by Julie Mullings. LOCKDOWN LIFTED The Lake Hamilton School District has returned to normal operations. The lockdown has been lifted. An individual on campus was making threatening remarks and showing aggressive behavior to school staff. The Garland County Sherriff's Department and school security team immediately responded to the situation. The individual is no longer on the Lake Hamilton School District campus and is in the custody of the GCSD. #LHWolfNation

LHSD | LOCKDOWN The Lake Hamilton School District is currently under lockdown. Students and staff are remaining inside with all exterior doors locked. The Garland County Sheriffs Department and school security team are on-site and are in the process of removing the threat. The district will release more information regarding the lockdown as it becomes available. #LHWolfNation
