The State of Arkansas requires all students in grades 8–12 to have a Student Success Plan (SSP), which is completed and reviewed through the state’s Launch platform. Parents are required to review and sign off on their student’s plan each year and have the opportunity to provide feedback. To ensure you are able to access and review your child’s plan, please make sure your family and student demographic information is current and accurate in eSchool. Keeping this information updated will help ensure you have access to your student’s information and can participate in the planning process.

Lake Hamilton High School will offer the PSAT on October 14 for any interested 10th- or 11th-grade student. If your student is interested in taking the PSAT, please encourage them to sign up while registration is still available. Additionally, any 11th-grade student who would like to be considered for recognition as a National Merit Scholar must take the PSAT during the October testing window of their junior year.

A few important school picture dates are coming up. Senior picture retakes will be held on September 3. Fall pictures for all sophomores and juniors will be taken on September 17. Please make sure your student is prepared for pictures on the appropriate day.

Senior parents, if you have not already done so, please take a moment to sign your senior up for our Senior Grandparents Breakfast. The signup form was emailed to you last week from me. This is a special opportunity for our seniors to share a little of their high school experience with their grandparents before graduation. We hope as many of our senior families as possible will take advantage of this meaningful event.
