Dear Parents,
As we approach the final weeks of the school year, I am sure all students are looking forward to summer break. Our seniors are especially excited as they prepare to complete their high school journey, while our juniors and sophomores are already looking ahead to the opportunities that next year will bring.
As we finish the year, we ask for your support in reinforcing our cell phone expectations. While the end of the year is in sight, we remain a “bell to bell, no cell” campus. We have seen an increase in cell phone infractions over the past few weeks, and please know that this expectation will continue to be enforced through the final bell on the last day of school.
Commencement for the Class of 2026 will be held on May 15th at 7:00 PM at Bank OZK Arena in downtown Hot Springs. Please be aware that parking will be limited, as there are two additional events scheduled at the convention center that evening. We strongly encourage families to arrive early and allow extra time to find parking.
Senior Chromebook return will take place Wednesday morning unless your student has an AP test scheduled over the next two weeks. Those students will return their Chromebook following their final AP test. Seniors who are not exempt will take semester exams this Thursday and Friday. All senior semester exams will be administered in a paper-and-pencil format.
Yearbooks are expected to arrive on May 4th or 5th. We will distribute yearbooks to juniors and sophomores during the school day. Seniors will receive their yearbooks following Senior Walk and/or Graduation Practice. Please note that yearbooks will not be distributed at commencement.
For 10th and 11th grade students, semester exams will be held on May 19th and 20th, with Chromebook return scheduled for May 18th. Also on May 18th, we will host the Junior Class Ring Ceremony at 1:00 in the arena. During this event, students who ordered a class ring will receive it. Students who did not order a ring will be provided a Class of 2027 band by Herff Jones.
Finally, Senior Class Pictures for the Class of 2027 will take place on campus May 21st and 22nd. This is required for all members of the class for next year’s yearbook. There are no appointment times; pictures will be taken during the school day between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
