Dear High School Parents,
As we move into the spring season, I hope each of you have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable Spring Break with your student. This is a great time to recharge and spend quality time together as we head into the final stretch of the school year.
For our Senior families, several important dates are quickly approaching. The last day of school for Seniors will be April 29th, with semester tests scheduled for April 30th and May 1st. Senior Chromebook collection will take place the morning of April 29th. Additionally, Cap and Gown pickup is scheduled for April 3rd; all balances must be paid in order to receive items. Payments can be made online ahead of time or in person on the day of pickup. Orders must be submitted by April 1st to receive your cap and gown on April 3rd.
We want to remind all senior families about outstanding senior fines. During our Senior Parent Meeting in January, all students and parents in attendance were informed that all fines must be cleared in order for a student to participate in Commencement on May 15th. Please take time to check with your senior to ensure this has been taken care of. This week, seniors with outstanding balances were called to the auditorium to review their status, and each student has received an email from the librarian with instructions on how to check their account for any remaining fines.
This year, we are combining our CTE Completer Ceremony, 4-Year Letterman Ceremony, and Top 25 Ceremony into one unified event. The ceremony will be held on April 23rd at 9:45 AM in the arena. We hope this adjustment provides greater convenience for families and allows more of you to attend and celebrate these outstanding student achievements. More information will come out soon on who is being recognized so families can make plans.
We also want to remind families about My Future Signing Day On April 24th in the arena at 9:45 AM. Please make sure your student has completed the required form indicating their post-graduation plans, whether that includes enrollment, enlistment, or employment. This information helps us properly recognize and celebrate each Senior’s next step.
We will begin 10th grade ATLAS testing on April 28th and April 29th, starting with the English and Reading assessments. The following week, students will complete testing with Geometry and Biology. Please help us by ensuring your student is present, well-rested, and ready to do their best on these important assessments.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to finish the school year strong.
