LABOR DAY HOLIDAY All Lake Hamilton School District buildings and offices will be closed Monday, September 7, 2020, for the Labor Day Holiday. School will resume for all students and staff on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. #LHWolfNation

NO COST STUDENT MEALS This morning, the Arkansas Child Nutrition Unit announced that the USDA has extended the Seamless Summer Operation program through December 31, 2020, or until funding has been exhausted. This means that all students will be able to eat one school breakfast and one school lunch, per day, at no cost. This will begin on Thursday, September 3, 2020, during lunch. Any student wanting an extra breakfast, lunch, or à la carte item must purchase those separately. #LHWolfNation

EXTRA YEARBOOKS If you didn’t get a yearbook from the 2019-2020 school year, we still have some left. $20 cash only. #LHWolfNation

WHAT WENT RIGHT Sometimes, we focus too much on the negative things and fail to recognize the positives. The media and social media outlets do not help much in this regard. Bad news is typically more likely to get published, broadcast, and shared. That said, let's see how many shares we can get from this positive news post! This past Friday ended the first week of school for Lake Hamilton School District students, and things ran amazingly well given the pandemic world we’re experiencing. There is no doubt that almost every student, parent, and school employee had something go wrong throughout the week. Now, what about the other side of the story? What went right? BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION The Primary School participates in the Box Tops For Education program. This program helps schools earn money for their school. Each year, we use the money we earn to provide a fun surprise treat for the students at the end of the year. #LHWolfNation

BUILDING WITH SHAPES Ms. Nash’s kindergarten class uses pattern blocks to design objects. #LHWolfNation

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS All onsite and virtual students must have up to date immunizations. Tdap is required for all students 11 and older. Exceptions for any age are due. Kindergarten physicals and immunizations are also due. The meningitis vaccination is required for all 7th grade and 16 year old students. Parents must provide proof to the school nurse for all immunizations. If students have not received the required vaccinations, please consult a physician or the Garland County Health Unit (501-624-3394) for an appointment. Please communicate with your school nurse if you have an upcoming appointment or if you have any further questions. #LHWolfNation

PICTURE DAY Picture Day is Thursday, September 3rd. All students will be photographed for Yearbook, but only those paying on or before picture day will receive a package. #LHWolfNation
